Hi, I’m Erica! I’m a mom of three, wife, Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, and lifelong adventurer who has always been curious about the world beyond my own backyard. I caught the travel bug early and have spent my life chasing new experiences, exploring different cultures, and finding ways to make travel a meaningful part of our family’s story.
For years, Italy was a place that felt like home before it ever became our home. After reconnecting with my Italian roots and years of dreaming about making the move, my family and I finally took the leap and moved abroad to Tuscany. Leaving behind the familiar wasn’t always easy — navigating a new language, a new culture, and everyday life in another country with three kids has definitely pushed us outside our comfort zone — but it has also been one of the most rewarding adventures we’ve ever taken.
I started this blog to share the real side of family travel and life abroad — the beautiful moments, the challenges, the lessons learned, and everything in between. I believe travel with kids isn’t something you have to put on hold; it may take more planning and patience, but the memories you create are always worth it.
From exploring Italy like a local, discovering hidden gems across Europe, and sharing the realities of raising a family overseas, my goal is to inspire others to step outside their comfort zone and realize that adventure is possible at every stage of life.
My husband, Kevin, came into my life during a very difficult chapter of my life. He is nothing short of amazing and the best travel partner that I never knew I needed. I am incredibly blessed to be able to create lifelong memories with him by my side.

Meet the Little Muggles

Aria: A spunky, strong-willed gril that has a love for exploring. Aria has been my travel buddy from a young age. She backpacked across Italy with me at only 17 months old! Then at 2 years old, we backpacked across Spain together.
Theo: An energetic, curious 8 year old. He is always ready for his next adventure.
Isla: The littlest muggle! This girl is fearless and is already an avid adventurer like her mama!
